Newcastle United have endured one of the most dramatic summers in recent memory, with the club undergoing a major rebuild both on and off the pitch.
The Magpies have seen several important first-team players leave while a new generation of young talent has been brought through the door.
The summer has seen Newcastle part company with major names including Sandro Tonali, Anthony Gordon and Bruno Guimaraes, while experienced players such as Kieran Trippier, Matt Targett and Emil Krafth have also moved on. The departures have left the squad looking considerably different ahead of the new campaign.

At the same time, the club have invested heavily in younger players, bringing in the likes of Ewen Jaouen, Sean Steur, Aladji Bamba and Bazoumana Toure, while Lukas Hornicek and Amar Dedic have also arrived as part of the rebuilding process.
The biggest change, however, came in the dugout.
Eddie Howe stepped down from his position, with Matthias Jaissle subsequently taking charge as Newcastle’s new head coach. The German has arrived with his own ideas and a clear intention to reshape the club in his image.
And that rebuild is now extending beyond the playing squad.
Newcastle United’s head of goalkeeping, Adam Bartlett, has left the club, while goalkeeper coach Daniel Garcia has also departed as Jaissle begins reshaping his backroom team.
Jaissle has appointed Alexander Bade to lead his goalkeeper department, signalling another significant change behind the scenes at St James’ Park.
Garcia’s departure is particularly notable because of his lengthy association with Newcastle’s first team. He spent four years working with the senior side on Tyneside before bringing his time at the club to an end.
But the goalkeeper coach will not be leaving the Premier League.
Garcia has reportedly joined Aston Villa, meaning Newcastle have now lost another experienced member of their setup to a domestic rival.
The double departure underlines the scale of the changes taking place at Newcastle this summer. With the squad, manager and coaching structure all undergoing significant transformation, Jaissle is clearly determined to establish his own Newcastle United.
