Harry Souttar Finally Opens Up EXPOSES What Went Wrong as Leicester City Suffer 4-0 Oxford United Humiliation

Harry Souttar has told Leicester City supporters that they will look to make up for Saturday’s defeat to Oxford United.

Harry Souttar has insisted that it’s down to the Leicester City squad to put things right after Saturday’s damaging defeat to Oxford United at the King Power Stadium.

Russell Martin’s men suffered their worst defeat in League One over the weekend just days after beating Plymouth Argyle. Mark Harris put Oxford ahead in the first half before the away side scored three second half goals.

Supporters inside the King Power Stadium made their feelings known to Martin, the players and board throughout the second half. The defeat has left City 17th in League One after just five games.

Souttar, who has captained the Foxes in four of their five league games, has insisted that City lacked five key ingredients in their game to come away from the clash with anything.

“The result speaks for itself really,” he said post-match.

“It doesn’t matter the way you want to play, but if you’re not going to run, compete, win tackles, win headers and not give yourself a chance to be in the game, you don’t deserve anything in the game. We certainly didn’t deserve anything.”

The Australian was also asked about the frustration among supporters after boos were heard after Oxford’s third and fourth goals.

“Rightfully so,” he added. “For the ones that stayed and clapped us off, thank you we didn’t deserve it.

“It’s up to us as a group of playing staff to put that right. Ultimately we want to come here and make it exciting, play good football and create lots of chances. But if you don’t do the other side of the game, that’s the bare minimum, then you don’t give yourself a chance.”
