Newcastle United reportedly do not expect Arsenal to meet their £100m valuation for the Brazilian midfielder, who remains a key figure at St James’ Park.
The 28-year-old has attracted serious interest from the Gunners, sparking concern inside the club about the possibility of losing another star player in the same window.
A source quoted by the Telegraph said:
“We may as well pack up and go home if we sell them both (Bruno Guimarães and Sandro Tonali) this summer.”
Newcastle are standing firm on their valuation, insisting that Guimarães will not be allowed to leave for anything less than £100m. However, there is a belief that Arsenal are unlikely to reach that figure.
