JUST IN : Leicester City Star Makes Shocking Transfer Request Hours After Relegation to League One

Leicester City’s relegation to League One was confirmed on Tuesday following a 2-2 draw with Hull City at the King Power Stadium.

Just shy of a decade after lifting the Premier League trophy in May 2016 defying 5,000/1 odds in one of English football’s greatest underdog stories the Foxes are now preparing for life in the third tier for only the second time in their 142-year history.

Tensions boiled over in recent weeks. After a Portsmouth defeat, midfielder Harry Winks clashed publicly with furious fans.

Boos rained down on him during the Hull draw, amid constant fan pressure over his form. Manager dropped him for the Hull start, only for Winks to enter in the second half as relegation loomed.

Hours later, the 29-year-old England international made explosive statements, signaling his exit. “I told my agent to find me a better club. I won’t play at League One next season,” Winks declared.

“The manager doesn’t even rate me, the fans don’t respect me it’s easier for them to forget everything I have done for them.” He added: “I won’t play for Leicester City again. It’s done. I won’t even come to the training ground. I’m tired of the club.”

Winks, who joined from Tottenham in 2023 for £10m, made 87 appearances and helped the 2023/24 promotion push. His demands pile pressure on Leicester amid financial woes and a squad overhaul.
