Rowett on the job opportunity: “Of course I’d like this opportunity to rebuild this. I think I could be exactly what the club needs.”
When asked whether players had been saying their goodbyes internally, he added:

“A lot of those players won’t be here next season I’m sure. There might be a few who are still here. It’s going to be a great opportunity for the club to rebuild.”
He also reflected on the final performance against Blackburn, praising the professionalism of his side despite the pressure and uncertainty surrounding the squad.
“I was quite pleased that we at least did it professionally. That’s been the message for the last two games. I thought there were some good performances out there from some of the young guys as well.”
With Leicester now preparing for life in League One, Rowett’s comments have only intensified speculation over a major summer rebuild, with several players expected to leave as the club enters a new and uncertain chapter.
