Ruthless Russell Martin Breaks His Silence After Leicester City’s Latest Disaster — His Brutal Admission Leaves Fans STUNNED

Russell Martin believes Leicester City’s supporters are carrying the frustration of the club’s difficult past few years, following the reaction to their goalless draw against MK Dons.

The Foxes put in their most dominant performance of the season at Stadium MK, but were unable to find a winner. It means they have now started their League One campaign with just two points from a possible nine after drawing to Notts County and losing to Burton Albion.

At full-time, some sections of the supporters were heard booing as Martin and the players showed their appreciation for their support. Nearly 6,000 Foxes fans packed into the stadium and were vocal throughout.

Post-match, Martin said he understood the supporters’ reaction, admitting he was disappointed that his side couldn’t get the win.

“I’m disappointed as well,” he said.

“I don’t think that’s about the performance today in general, because I think we have a team that is running so hard, fighting, [being] aggressive, like I said, so dominant, so many chances.

“If we score, I think everyone goes home so happy and they’re waiting for that, I was waiting for that and we were on the bench. So I think that’s a build-up of two, three years, maybe even longer, of frustration towards the club, the team, whatever it is.

“By the way, their energy was amazing, the crowd, during the game. I really enjoyed it. Now on Tuesday, we have to give them something to be energised about again.

“I understand the reaction and I just want to give them a team that they’re proud of. And I was proud of the way they ran and fought, played some amazing, brave football today.

“We’ll control our energy inside the building and what we’re doing, the amount of belief the lads have. And then the only thing that’s going to change the energy completely is if we start winning games – which we will, I have no doubt about it.”
