Newcastle Edge Closer to Signing Top Talented Winger After Beating EPL Rivals in Transfer Race

Newcastle have intensified their search for a new winger following Anthony Gordon’s departure.

The Magpies have been linked with Abde Ezzalzouli (Real Betis), Antonio Nusa (RB Leipzig), Said El Mala (FC Köln), and Matias Fernandez-Pardo (Lille).

The club also came close to signing Victor Muñoz, but the Spanish winger ultimately chose to join Liverpool.

Although no agreement has been reached with another target yet, TEAMtalk recently reported that Newcastle have reopened talks with Ezzalzouli’s representatives and remain interested after missing out on Muñoz.

Newcastle United are reportedly in advanced talks to sign Feyenoord winger Anis Hadj Moussa, according to 3 Added Minutes via Sky Sports Switzerland.

However, completing the deal may not be straightforward, with Aston Villa also said to be in discussions over the 24-year-old.

Hadj Moussa, who is currently with Algeria at the FIFA World Cup, has spent the last two years at Feyenoord after joining from Belgian second-tier side Patro Eisden Maasmechelen.

Last season, he made 30 Eredivisie appearances, scoring 11 goals and providing six assists.

Sky Sports Switzerland reporter Sacha Tavolieri claims the winger wants to take the next step in his career, with a move to the Premier League being his priority. As a result, he has reportedly rejected offers from the Saudi Pro League.

Feyenoord are believed to value the player at around £30 million.

Hadj Moussa is known as a quick right winger who likes to cut inside from the flank. His creativity, crossing ability and work rate in winning back possession are seen as qualities that would fit Newcastle’s high-pressing style.

According to Tavolieri, talks between the player and both Newcastle United and Aston Villa are well underway and are expected to accelerate in the coming weeks.

Newcastle could have a slight advantage in the race. Both Newcastle and Aston Villa have been fined by UEFA for breaching the new Squad Cost Rules (SCR), but Villa also face restrictions on registering players for their Champions League squad.

While the details of those restrictions have not been disclosed, they could affect Villa’s transfer plans and potentially strengthen Newcastle’s position.
