However, the issue is minor. While he has not yet trained since returning to Seagrave, there is a possibility he could feature on Good Friday when City host Preston, the first of their seven-game run-in to the end of the campaign.
“He’s come back for treatment,” manager Gary Rowett said at his press conference on Wednesday afternoon. “He landed awkwardly. It’s not as serious as it first seemed. He hasn’t trained today, but neither have a lot of the international lads. He’s one we’ll have a discussion about.
“If you speak to JJ, he’s adamant he’ll be fit. We’ll have that conversation, and at least it will be a positive one.”
