Since taking over from Marti Cifuentes, Rowett has faced a hectic schedule, managing seven matches in his first month while dealing with frequent injuries to first team stars.

Key players like Asmir Begovic and Jannick Vestergaard have often been sidelined, forcing the manager to rely on temporary fixes just the help the team stay afloat.

Leicester’s 0-0 draw at Watford saw January signing Jamaal Lascelles shine, but Rowett will want more defensive and attacking options when the team faces Preston North End after the break to further boost a survival hope.

Loanee from EPL side Aaron Ramsey, who missed the Watford game due to illness, is expected to return to full fitness and could soon be unleashed by the new manager Rowett.

The Burnley loanee has been recovering from recurring hamstring issues but is back in training with the first team.

He impressed in spurts under Cifuentes, scoring two goals in eight appearances against Portsmouth and Hull City, before injuries disrupted his season.

Rowett might use Ramsey as an impact substitute, similar to how Cifuentes did, offering energy and creativity off the bench in key moments.
