Angry Leicester City Fans Go Brutal on Luton Manager Jack Wilshere After His Subtle Attack on the Supporters and the Club Following Luton Town’s Controversial 2–1 Win Over the Foxes 😡

Jack Wilshere has come under fire from angry Leicester City supporters after praising Callum Marshall’s dramatic late winner against the Foxes and describing the feeling as better than anything he experienced as a player.

Luton Town secured a dramatic 2-1 victory at Kenilworth Road on October 24, 2026, but the result was overshadowed by controversial refereeing decisions that left Leicester fans furious. While Wilshere celebrated a crucial victory for his team, sections of the travelling support were left questioning the decisions that went against their side.

Luton took the lead through Nahki Wells in the first half after Jordan Clark won possession from Caleb Okoli and set up the striker to score his eighth goal of the season. Leicester thought they had equalised through Emil Riis, but referee Martin Wood consulted his assistant before ruling out the goal for offside.

The biggest talking point, however, came when Leicester players appealed for a penalty after Liam Walsh made contact with Will Smallbone while attempting an overhead clearance inside the penalty area. The referee waved away the appeals, with the decision becoming a major source of frustration for the Foxes.

Leicester’s afternoon became even more difficult when captain John Lundstram was sent off in the 85th minute following a second yellow card for a challenge on Isaiah Jones. Despite being down to ten men, the Foxes refused to give up and appeared to have rescued a point when Liam Cullen curled home an equaliser in the 90th minute.

However, Luton had the final say. Substitute Emilio Lawrence delivered a cross for Callum Marshall to score the winner four minutes into the seven minutes of added time, sparking wild celebrations from Wilshere and the home supporters.

Speaking after the match, Wilshere made no secret of how much the victory meant to him.

“I love it so much,” he said. “That feeling, I said to the players in the huddle, I thanked them for it, because it’s the best feeling.

“Honestly, it’s better than playing. It’s better than scoring a goal when you were a player, especially in that context, in them circumstances.”

Wilshere also praised his players for refusing to settle for a draw after Leicester equalised, insisting that their desire and determination were crucial to securing all three points.

However, his comments have not gone down well with some Leicester supporters, who believe the controversial decisions during the match deserve more attention than the celebrations surrounding Luton’s late winner.

One angry supporter insisted that Wilshere should be the last person talking, while another challenged him to address the penalty incident involving Smallbone. Others accused the Luton manager of double standards, arguing that his reaction might have been different had the same decisions gone against his own team.

One particularly furious fan claimed that Luton needed 13 players, including the referee, to win the game, before telling Wilshere to shut his mouth. Another questioned why the manager appeared to be treating Leicester supporters as the problem when they were simply expressing their frustration.

The backlash reflects the anger surrounding a defeat that Leicester fans believe was made even more painful by the key decisions during the match. While Luton celebrated a dramatic victory, the controversy surrounding Smallbone’s penalty appeal and Riis’s disallowed goal continued to dominate the debate among sections of the Foxes faithful.
