🚨“HOW WAS THAT ALLOWED?” Everton Fans DEMAND ANSWERS After SHOCKING Referee Decisions vs Man United Are REVEALED — FOUR Incidents Under Investigation!

Everton’s dramatic 2–2 draw with Manchester United has taken another controversial turn, with several refereeing decisions from the match now being placed under the microscope.

What initially looked like a night that would be remembered almost entirely for Ainsley Maitland-Niles’ extraordinary stoppage-time equaliser has quickly developed into another major talking point, with questions being raised over whether Everton should have been awarded a penalty and whether other key incidents were handled correctly.

The Toffees produced an incredible fightback at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, twice recovering from behind to secure a point. But the drama surrounding the officials has left supporters debating whether the final score could have been very different.

According to reports, four separate incidents from the match have been reviewed, with the late penalty appeal among the most significant.

The controversy comes after a frantic second half in which Manchester United twice appeared to have done enough to take all three points.

Bryan Mbeumo opened the scoring shortly after half-time with an excellent individual finish before Tyrique George produced a powerful strike to bring Everton level.

United then appeared to have delivered the decisive blow when Benjamin Sesko headed home in the 88th minute.

However, Everton refused to accept defeat.

With virtually the final attack of the game, Maitland-Niles unleashed a spectacular long-range effort that flew into the top corner, sending the home supporters into absolute chaos and securing a 2–2 draw.

The goal was the perfect ending to an extraordinary night for the Everton debutant, who had only joined the club on deadline day.

But away from the spectacular goals, attention has now turned towards the officials.

The penalty incident has become one of the biggest talking points because had Everton been awarded a spot-kick, the entire complexion of the match could have changed.

That has understandably left supporters asking one simple question: why was the decision not given?

The debate is particularly intense because Everton were already pushing desperately for an equaliser during the closing stages. Every decision carried enormous significance, and the late controversy has provided another layer to an already dramatic contest.

Despite the frustration, David Moyes’ side deserve enormous credit for their response.

Everton were forced to operate with a thin squad after a difficult transfer window, leaving Moyes with limited attacking options. Yet his players continued to fight until the final whistle.

The introduction of Jack Grealish also helped Everton improve their attacking threat, while George and Maitland-Niles produced two outstanding finishes to rescue the result.

For United, meanwhile, the draw represented another painful defensive collapse.

They have now conceded at least twice in each of their opening three league matches, a statistic that has raised serious questions about their defensive organisation.

But for Everton supporters, the refereeing debate could dominate the conversation for some time.

The Toffees may have escaped with a point thanks to Maitland-Niles’ sensational 96th-minute strike, but the fact that multiple incidents are now being reviewed means the match is unlikely to disappear from the headlines anytime soon.

And that is exactly why the controversy is growing.

Was Everton denied a crucial penalty?

Were the other major decisions handled correctly?

And perhaps most importantly, would the match have ended differently if the officials had made different calls?

Those are the questions Everton supporters are now demanding answers to.

One thing is certain: what looked like a simple dramatic 2–2 draw has developed into a much bigger refereeing debate — and the Toffees are once again at the centre of the controversy.
