🚨 BREAKING: Newcastle Plot SHOCK £51M Raid for 24-G/A Superstar as Another HUGE Midfield Name Is OFFERED to Jaissle!

Newcastle United are reportedly considering a move for AS Monaco striker Folarin Balogun as the Magpies continue their search for attacking reinforcements ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

According to reports, Newcastle have been linked with the 25-year-old forward, who enjoyed a productive campaign with Monaco last season. Balogun was involved in 24 goals across the campaign, strengthening his reputation as one of the more dangerous young forwards currently playing in Ligue 1.

The United States international has already attracted significant attention from Premier League clubs, with Tottenham Hotspur also monitoring his situation. Spurs have reportedly opened discussions with Monaco regarding a potential €60 million deal, highlighting the level of interest surrounding the striker.

Balogun’s reported valuation is around £51 million, meaning Newcastle would have to make a significant financial commitment if they decide to push ahead with a formal approach. The forward’s experience in English football could also make him an attractive option for the Magpies, having previously come through Arsenal’s academy before establishing himself in France.

His most recent season underlined his attacking qualities. Balogun scored 13 Ligue 1 goals for Monaco during the 2025/26 campaign, while also contributing in European competition. Overall, reports credit him with 19 goals across all competitions, demonstrating that he can provide a threat both domestically and on the continental stage.

For Newcastle, the interest comes at a particularly important moment. The club are undergoing a major rebuild under manager Matthias Jaissle, with several established players having departed during the summer. The Magpies are therefore looking at multiple positions as they attempt to rebuild a squad capable of competing at the highest level.

Balogun could potentially provide Newcastle with another option in the attacking department, particularly if the club want greater competition and depth in the centre-forward position. His pace, movement and ability to attack space could also suit a side looking to develop a more dynamic attacking style.

However, the striker is not the only major name being discussed at St James’ Park.

Newcastle have also been offered the opportunity to sign Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi, according to reports. The Italian midfielder has emerged as a potential option as the Magpies look to rebuild their midfield following Bruno Guimaraes’ departure.

Frattesi, 26, is reportedly available for around £26 million, making him considerably cheaper than Balogun. Inter are believed to be open to moving the midfielder on as they look to reshape their squad, while Newcastle are among the clubs monitoring his situation.

The midfielder could represent an attractive opportunity for Newcastle because of his experience at the highest level. Frattesi has established himself as a regular Italian international and offers energy, late runs into the penalty area and an ability to contribute goals from midfield.

That could be particularly valuable following the departure of Guimaraes, whose influence in Newcastle’s midfield was enormous. While Frattesi would not necessarily be a direct stylistic replacement, his arrival could give Jaissle another energetic and attack-minded midfielder to work with.

Newcastle therefore appear to have two potentially significant transfer opportunities developing simultaneously. Balogun would represent a major investment in the forward line, while Frattesi could provide a more affordable solution to the midfield problem.

With the transfer window approaching its final stages, the coming days could reveal whether Newcastle decide to turn either interest into a formal bid. For now, both players remain names to watch closely as the Magpies continue reshaping their squad.
