JUST IN: Newcastle Owners’ Cheeky Two-Word Reaction After Selling Sandro Tonali to Tottenham

Newcastle United are reportedly furious with Sandro Tonali following the events that led to his transfer to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Magpies’ owners, however, appeared to send a cheeky two-word message after sanctioning the Italian midfielder’s departure, while also reassuring supporters that a major summer spending spree is now on the horizon.

Tottenham are set to break their transfer record for the second time in less than 48 hours after reaching an agreement to sign Tonali from Newcastle. An initial fee of £92.5 million, plus a further £7.5 million in performance-related add-ons, has reportedly been agreed as part of Roberto De Zerbi’s midfield rebuild, following Spurs’ move for Mateus Fernandes earlier this week.

Newcastle’s owners, the Public Investment Fund (PIF), have faced criticism from supporters following the departures of several key players, including Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon in recent transfer windows.

However, the Magpies’ hierarchy remain determined to strengthen Eddie Howe’s squad quickly now that the club’s financial restrictions under the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) have eased. Journalist Mark Douglas has provided an encouraging update regarding Newcastle’s transfer plans.

According to Douglas, Newcastle are not panicking and are already working on four potential signings. He reports that the club have agreed a deal for Hoffenheim and Ivory Coast winger Bazoumana Touré.

The 20-year-old, who scored five goals and registered nine assists in the Bundesliga last season, is expected to join for around £43 million. However, he is not the only player on Newcastle’s shortlist.

Douglas also claims that Newcastle are pursuing Tottenham midfielder Archie Gray, Monaco starlet Lamine Camara and Swiss prospect Johan Manzambi, while relaying a brief message from senior figures within the club:

“No panic.”
