More importantly, though, Everton now have a clearer indication of the current market value for elite wingers.
If Gordon is valued at nearly £70 million, Everton will surely believe that any potential move for Ndiaye would require a similarly huge fee.
The 26-year-old even outperformed Gordon in terms of goal contributions last season. Gordon registered eight goal involvements (six goals and two assists), while Ndiaye recorded nine (six goals and three assists).
Of course, Everton’s priority will be to keep the Senegal international at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and such a high valuation could discourage potential suitors from making a move.
Chelsea are reportedly interested in Ndiaye, although the Stamford Bridge club also failed to qualify for European football next season.

Based on the figures currently being reported, the Toffees are expected to receive between £3.5 million and £4 million. While it is not a game-changing amount, it still represents a welcome financial boost for the club.
Considering Gordon left Everton under difficult circumstances in 2023, many supporters would never have imagined he would one day be on the verge of joining one of the biggest clubs in world football — Barcelona.
