Newcastle United have moved quickly to strengthen their squad after a turbulent summer that has seen several key players leave the club.
The Magpies have already lost Bruno Guimaraes, Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali, leaving Matthias Jaissle with plenty of work to do as he looks to rebuild the squad ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
Newcastle United have officially completed the signing of highly talented European star Amar Dedic, with the Magpies wrapping up the transfer after completing his medical and signing all the necessary paperwork with Benfica.
The Bosnian right-back will now be officially unveiled as Newcastle United player this week.
The £29.5 million agreement between Newcastle United and Benfica has been completed, with Dedic now set to begin the next chapter of his career at St James’ Park.
The transfer represents another important step in Newcastle’s rebuilding project after a summer that has seen several major players leave the club.

Bruno Guimaraes, Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali have all departed, leaving Matthias Jaissle with plenty of work to do as he attempts to reshape his squad.
Sky Sports journalist Keith Downie had previously posted exclusive footage of Dedic arriving at Newcastle Airport ahead of his medical.

Following his arrival, Dedic completed the required medical examinations, with Newcastle and Benfica subsequently finalising the paperwork required to complete the transfer.
The deal is now done, with the talented Bosnian officially joining Newcastle United for a reported £29.5 million.
The signing is also significant because of Dedic’s previous relationship with Newcastle head coach Matthias Jaissle.
The pair previously worked together at both FC Liefering and RB Salzburg, meaning Jaissle already knows the defender’s qualities extremely well.
Dedic has continued to develop since those days, gaining valuable experience at both club and international level.
Jaissle will therefore be confident that he knows exactly what he is getting from his latest defensive addition.
The Bosnian right-back provides Newcastle with another quality option on the right side of defence and could become an important part of Jaissle’s plans this season.
Dedic’s arrival will also create greater competition for Tino Livramento.
Livramento remains one of Newcastle’s most talented young players and has already demonstrated his quality at Premier League level.
However, injuries have affected his availability, with the Englishman managing just 17 Premier League appearances last season.
The arrival of Dedic gives Jaissle another dependable option and ensures Newcastle have greater depth in the position.
For Newcastle United, the completion of the Dedic transfer represents another significant move in their summer rebuild.
After losing several key players, the Magpies have now secured the services of a talented European defender who already has a strong working relationship with their new head coach.
