Leicester City’s EFL squad list for the 2026/27 season has been confirmed following the summer transfer window, with two noticeable inclusions.
Clubs are allowed to register 25 senior players, with them not needing to register under-21 players. The Foxes registered only 15, lower than any Championship team and 22 League One clubs, with 31 under-21 players confirmed, including Under-18 stars Bless Akolbire, Will Daniels, Alpha Diallo and Josh King.
Leicester’s 15 registered players include Wout Faes and Woyo Coulibaly. Despite being available to leave the club in the summer, the two players have been included, which means they could be used by Russell Martin in League One.
Faes had a bid rejected earlier in the summer before West Ham United pulled out of a deadline day move for the centre-back. Coulibaly was close to securing a loan switch to Italian side Genoa, only for it to collapse late in the window.
Martin confirmed last week that Faes could still leave City, with the window in countries like Greece and Portugal open until September 15. Leicester signed two centre-backs in the summer meaning there are currently six centre-backs at the club, with Ben Nelson out for the majority of the season.
City benefit from their young squad with a number of their regular starters not required to be registered. Will Alves, Harry Howell, Jayden Joseph, Tommy Watson and Christian McFarlane are all under-21.
