Abdulhafiz TeslimNewcastle United are closing in on another significant addition to their squad after reaching an agreement with Dutch giants Feyenoord for highly-rated winger Anis Hadj Moussa.
According to the latest reports, the Magpies have agreed a deal worth €35 million upfront, with a further €7 million in performance-related add-ons, taking the total package to €42 million. The transfer now appears to be entering its final stages after the player reportedly agreed personal terms with Newcastle last week.
The move is expected to be completed once the remaining formalities, including the medical examination and final paperwork, are concluded. If everything proceeds as planned, Hadj Moussa could become one of Newcastle’s headline signings of the summer as Matthias Jaissle continues reshaping his squad ahead of the new campaign.
The Algerian winger has attracted attention across Europe following a series of impressive performances for Feyenoord. His explosive pace, direct dribbling, creativity, and ability to play on either flank have made him one of the Eredivisie’s standout attacking players. Newcastle’s recruitment team have reportedly monitored him for several months before deciding to make their move.
Jaissle is believed to have been a strong admirer of the winger’s qualities, seeing him as the ideal player to inject more pace, unpredictability, and attacking flair into Newcastle’s frontline. The German coach is keen to build a young, energetic side capable of competing consistently at the highest level, and Hadj Moussa fits that profile perfectly.
The reported agreement also highlights Newcastle’s willingness to invest heavily in players with long-term potential rather than focusing solely on established superstars. Since the appointment of Jaissle, the club has made it clear that recruitment will centre around ambitious young talents capable of developing into elite performers.
For Feyenoord, the sale represents another major financial success after helping the winger establish himself in Dutch football. The sizeable transfer fee reflects both his rapid development and the growing demand for his signature across Europe.
Newcastle supporters are already reacting with excitement across social media, with many believing Hadj Moussa could become one of the Premier League’s most exciting wide players if he adapts quickly to English football. His arrival would provide additional competition in the attacking positions and significantly strengthen the Magpies’ options ahead of what promises to be another demanding season.
With personal terms already agreed and a club-to-club agreement now reportedly in place, all signs point towards the transfer being officially announced in the coming days. Should the deal be completed as expected, Hadj Moussa will become another statement signing in Newcastle United’s ambitious rebuild under Matthias Jaissle, signalling that the club has no intention of slowing down its plans for the future.
