Camara appears to outperform his positional rival in several key areas. Considering Tottenham would likely demand a significant fee for Gray, who is reportedly valued at around £70 million, Newcastle may view the Monaco midfielder as the more practical option.

Gray remains an outstanding prospect, but questions remain over whether he is yet the complete midfielder Newcastle need. Following a difficult performance in one of his recent appearances, concerns were raised about his physicality and effectiveness in duels.
