After 30 matches without keeping a clean sheet in the Championship, Leicester have now kept two clean sheets in their last three games, but the Foxes had to settle for a point in Saturday’s draw at Watford.

Matty Fryatt, a former Foxes striker and pundit for BBC Radio Leicester, told the ‘When You’re Smiling’ podcast: “I don’t really understand how the match could have ended in a goalless draw.

“Leicester did everything except put the ball in the back of the net. It all came down to Leicester’s ability to finish. They didn’t quite manage it in the end, but it was an encouraging performance.

“We’ll take the point, but I think it’s two points dropped. We should have converted at least one of those chances. Unfortunately, Patson Daka will be having nightmares about those missed opportunities.”

Fryatt added: “It was encouraging. It was one of the most convincing performances we’ve seen since Gary Rowett arrived it just lacked that little bit extra.

“If they play like that in the Easter weekend fixtures (against Preston and Sheffield Wednesday), they’ll get positive results.”
