🚨 CONFIRMED: Newcastle United Make SHOCK FINAL Decision on Highly-Promising Fan Favourite as Rivals Suffer HUGE Transfer Blow

Manchester United have been handed a major transfer setback after Newcastle United made their position crystal clear over one of their most wanted defensive targets.

With the summer transfer window approaching its final stages, there had been growing speculation that the Red Devils could make another push for a Newcastle star who has increasingly attracted attention at Old Trafford.

However, Newcastle manager Matthias Jaissle has now delivered a firm response that could completely end the saga.

According to Sky Sports, Jaissle has stated that there is “no chance” of the defender joining Manchester United before next week’s transfer deadline.

That player is Lewis Hall.

The 21-year-old left-back has become an important part of Newcastle’s plans, and Manchester United have reportedly viewed him as a potential long-term solution on the left side of their defence.

United’s interest is understandable. Hall has developed into an impressive young defender since establishing himself at St James’ Park, combining his defensive work with the ability to contribute when Newcastle attack.

Manchester United have been searching for additional options at left-back, with the position remaining an area they want to strengthen. Hall has consequently emerged as one of the names attracting serious attention.

But Newcastle’s stance appears increasingly difficult to overcome.

The Magpies have already experienced significant changes to their squad during a turbulent summer transfer window, and losing another important player this late would create another major headache for Jaissle.

Rather than allowing uncertainty to continue around Hall’s future, the Newcastle boss has now effectively slammed the door shut.

The timing is particularly significant because there is only a short period remaining before the transfer window closes. Manchester United therefore have very little time to change Newcastle’s position, even if they were prepared to make a substantial offer.

Reports have previously suggested that Newcastle would demand a huge fee before even considering allowing Hall to leave, while the club’s preference has consistently been to keep the youngster rather than sell him.

Hall also produced a strong performance during Newcastle’s dramatic 2-2 draw with Liverpool at St James’ Park, despite being involved in the incident that eventually led to Liverpool’s stoppage-time penalty.

That performance only underlined why Newcastle are reluctant to lose him.

For Jaissle, the message is simple: Hall remains part of his plans.

For Manchester United, however, the situation is becoming increasingly frustrating. The club still needs competition and depth at left-back, and Hall had emerged as one of the most attractive solutions available on the market.

United may now be forced to turn their attention elsewhere, with alternative targets reportedly being considered as the deadline approaches.

For Newcastle supporters, though, Jaissle’s latest statement will come as welcome news.

After a summer in which the club has already had to deal with considerable transfer speculation surrounding key players, keeping Hall would provide some much-needed stability.

And with the manager now publicly insisting that there is no chance of the defender leaving for Manchester United, the message from St James’ Park could hardly be clearer.

Lewis Hall is staying.
