His wages are also considered relatively affordable, with Capology reporting that he currently earns around £25,130 per week in Germany.
A move for Leite could therefore represent strong value for Everton, particularly given his left-footed profile, which would offer natural cover and competition for Jarrad Branthwaite.
With other defensive links already emerging, including reported interest in Roland Sallai, Everton’s back line could be set for a major reshuffle this summer.
