A SHOCKING six-word comment from inside the Leicester City dressing room has sent supporters into a frenzy

The Foxes suffered their worst defeat of the 2026/27 season to date at the King Power Stadium and failed to build on their win over Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday night.

Mark Harris’ brace was followed by Mo Missanga and Jamie McDonnell goals in the second half to mark another disappointing afternoon in LE2 for City. They have now lost two of their three League One home games this season.

Speaking after the humiliating defeat, Martin delivered a blunt verdict, branding it an “unacceptable” performance from his players.

“It’s painful, really painful,” he said. “Today, we look like a team that’s the opposite of what we have looked like.

“We’re so together, so aggressive and ready to fight for each other. And today, for that 25-minute spell in the second half, is unacceptable.”

He added: “We started so poorly because it’s such a poor goal. And then we were really in the game. I think we were really on top in the first half. But the start comes because we don’t fight enough and come out without the ball too many times. We were really soft.

“We had five kick-offs today and three of them ended up with a chance on our goal, which is crazy. I think it shows the lack of experience we have on the pitch and decision-making at times.

“Then we’re chasing the game and we get caught in transition repeatedly against a team that are good at it. I made a couple of subs and took some experienced guys off to try and inject some energy in the game.

“But the learning is, I think the team is too young and too inexperienced at the end. We were naive and too soft.”
