🚨 REPORT: Newcastle Ready to LET GO of Club-Record Signing After Just ONE YEAR as EUROPEAN GIANT Makes STUNNING Late Approach — Fans LEFT STUNNED!

Newcastle United could be facing one of the biggest surprises of the summer transfer window, with a club-record signing suddenly at the centre of late transfer uncertainty.

With the deadline fast approaching, reports have emerged that a Champions League side has made contact with Newcastle over a potential move for one of the club’s biggest investments. The situation has developed quickly and could force the Magpies into a major decision before the window closes.

The player in question is Nick Woltemade, who only joined Newcastle from Stuttgart last summer in a deal worth around £69 million, making him the most expensive signing in the club’s history.

Woltemade arrived on Tyneside with huge expectations after an impressive spell in Germany. His start to life at Newcastle was encouraging, but his form became inconsistent as the season progressed. He eventually finished his first campaign with 11 goals in 51 appearances across all competitions.

Now, just one year after breaking Newcastle’s transfer record to bring him to England, his future has unexpectedly become a talking point.

According to reports from Italy, Napoli have contacted Newcastle to explore the possibility of taking Woltemade on loan. Fabrizio Romano reported that the Italian club sounded Newcastle out over the previous 24 hours, although there is currently no agreement or formal approval for the move.

That distinction is important.

This is not a completed transfer, and Newcastle have not agreed to send their record signing to Italy. It is an enquiry at this stage, with Napoli also considering other attacking options.

However, the timing of the approach has immediately raised eyebrows.

Newcastle are already exploring further attacking reinforcements before the deadline, and reports have suggested that Woltemade’s position could become increasingly uncertain if another forward arrives.

There is also interest from elsewhere. Stuttgart have reportedly been linked with the possibility of bringing their former striker back, while other European clubs have been monitoring the situation.

For Newcastle supporters, though, the biggest question is whether the club would really consider allowing a £69 million record signing to leave after only one season.

Manager Matthias Jaissle’s position will also be crucial. Woltemade was not involved from the start in Newcastle’s recent league opener and his current situation has naturally fuelled further speculation about where he stands in the new manager’s plans.

At the same time, Newcastle have little reason to rush into a decision. The German forward remains under contract and the club invested heavily in him only last summer.

For now, therefore, there is no deal, no agreement and no confirmation that Woltemade is leaving St James’ Park.

But with Napoli now making contact and the transfer deadline approaching, this is certainly one situation Newcastle fans will be watching closely.

What initially looked like another routine transfer-window rumour has suddenly become a genuine question over the future of Newcastle’s record signing.

And if the Magpies do bring in another attacking player before deadline day, the Woltemade situation could become even more interesting.
