Newcastle United have confirmed a multi-million-pound training-ground shirt sponsorship deal with SumUp, making the club one of only three Premier League sides to fully commercialise their training setup.
Coca-Cola is also being lined up to take over the sponsorship of the Stack fan zone.
Newcastle United CEO David Hopkinson is targeting an additional £200 million a year in revenue by 2030 as the club looks to directly challenge the traditional Big Six, according to a report by Luke Edwards.
The Public Investment Fund (PIF) has pointed to the growing number of brands willing to invest in Newcastle as evidence of the club’s increasing global appeal.

There are also preliminary talks with another major international company over a potential deal to sponsor St James’ Park while retaining the stadium’s current name. If completed, the agreement would represent another significant commercial contract for the club.
Meanwhile, PIF is reportedly in the process of buying EA Sports. Future sponsorship opportunities involving the company could potentially emerge, although sources have stressed that Newcastle are not relying on related-party transactions to accelerate their revenue growth.
Newcastle United are also expected to officially announce SumUp as their new training-kit sponsor imminently.
The club’s plans for its training facilities have also generated excitement among supporters, with Arsenal’s 143-acre training facility currently regarded as the largest in the Premier League, while Newcastle’s planned 260-acre site would be considerably bigger.
