Newcastle United Name €30M Price for Joe Willock as Beşiktaş Push for Transfer
Newcastle United have reportedly placed a €30 million valuation on midfielder Joe Willock as Beşiktaş continue their efforts to bring the Englishman to Turkey this summer.
The Turkish club are understood to be seriously interested in completing a deal for Willock, but the current asking price remains a significant obstacle. According to reports emerging from Turkey, Newcastle are demanding around €30m for the midfielder, while Beşiktaş are hoping that the Premier League club will eventually lower their demands.

Beşiktaş are reportedly prepared to move forward with the transfer if Newcastle reduce their asking price to approximately €20m. Such a development could quickly accelerate negotiations and potentially allow the Turkish side to reach an agreement for the experienced midfielder.
Willock has been an important part of Newcastle’s squad during his time at St James’ Park. The midfielder joined the club permanently after initially arriving from Arsenal and has produced several memorable moments in a Newcastle shirt. His ability to operate in central midfield, carry the ball forward and contribute in the final third has made him a valuable option when fully fit.
However, Newcastle’s current squad planning could open the door for a potential departure. With the club continuing to assess their midfield options and reshape the squad, a substantial offer for Willock could be considered if it meets their valuation.
For Beşiktaş, the potential arrival of Willock would represent a major addition to their midfield. The Turkish giants are looking to strengthen their squad and believe the 28-year-old could provide the physicality, energy and Premier League experience needed to compete at the highest level domestically and in European competition.
The biggest issue at this stage appears to be the difference in valuation between the two clubs. Newcastle’s €30m demand is significantly higher than the €20m figure Beşiktaş are reportedly willing to pay. Unless one side changes its position, negotiations could remain difficult.
Nevertheless, there is optimism that a compromise could eventually be reached. Newcastle could be willing to negotiate if Beşiktaş make a serious proposal, while the Turkish club may also explore different payment structures, bonuses or add-ons to bridge the gap between the two valuations.
The coming days could therefore be crucial. If Newcastle lower their demands towards the €20m mark, Beşiktaş are reportedly ready to act quickly and attempt to complete the transfer.
For now, Willock remains a Newcastle player, but his future could become one of the stories to watch as the summer transfer window continues. With Beşiktaş showing concrete interest and Newcastle seemingly open to discussions at the right price, the midfielder’s next move could depend on whether the two clubs can find common ground over the transfer fee.
A reduction from €30m to around €20m could ultimately be the key that unlocks the deal.
