Liverpool have identified Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola as their top transfer target this summer, with Fabrizio Romano providing the latest update on the France international’s potential move to Anfield.
This summer already feels pivotal for Liverpool, particularly following the appointment of Andoni Iraola as head coach and the departures of several long-serving key players, including Andy Robertson, Ibrahima Konaté, and Mohamed Salah.
With the summer transfer window still open for another two months, the Reds have made only one signing so far: Spain international winger Victor Munoz.
The Merseyside club had also been optimistic about securing Mohamed Salah’s long-term replacement in RB Leipzig target Yan Diomande. However, the Ivorian teenager is now believed to prefer a move to Paris Saint-Germain, although no agreement has yet been reached.

Liverpool are therefore exploring alternative winger options. According to GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Ben Jacobs, the club has shown interest in players such as Said El Mala, Yankuba Minteh, and Matias Fernandez-Pardo, who is currently representing Belgium at the 2026 World Cup.
The Reds have maintained a long-standing interest in Barcola, having attempted to sign him from PSG last summer, and it appears they could soon make another move.
Romano: Liverpool Must Submit a ‘Significant Offer’ for Barcola
With the Diomande deal appearing increasingly unlikely, Romano reports that Liverpool have now placed Barcola at the top of their shortlist as they look to bring in a marquee winger ahead of the new season.
Liverpool’s chances of signing Barcola could improve if PSG complete a deal for Yan Diomande, while the French champions are also reportedly considering a move for Monaco forward Maghnes Akliouche.
According to Romano, Liverpool will need to submit a substantial offer for the French “superstar.” The Athletic has previously reported that PSG value Barcola at more than £116 million.
Romano said in his latest YouTube video:
«”A significant proposal will be needed. It’s up to Liverpool now. Barcola has always been at the top of their list, and I’ve been saying for months that people shouldn’t underestimate Liverpool’s interest in him.»
«”Barcola is now a serious target for Liverpool, but everything will depend on whether they are prepared to meet PSG’s demands. We have to keep a close eye on this situation.”»
Liverpool Also Considering Surprise Move for Brazilian Winger
Reports this week have also suggested that Liverpool are considering a surprise move for Fulham’s Brazilian winger Kevin.
The 23-year-old joined the Cottagers in a club-record deal last summer. While he has shown flashes of quality, his start to life in English football has been relatively modest.
Of his 26 Premier League appearances last season, 17 came from the bench, and he contributed just one goal and two assists.
It remains unclear whether Liverpool will pursue their reported interest in the Brazilian, but Reds supporters will undoubtedly be hoping that a bigger name arrives as Mohamed Salah’s successor.
