JUST IN: Liverpool now plotting surprise move to sign ‘amazing’ Brazilian star for Iraola…

All eyes will be on Andoni Iraola’s Liverpool this season after the highly regarded Spaniard succeeded Arne Slot at Anfield.

After winning the Premier League title in the 2024/25 campaign, the Reds endured a difficult season last year, finishing fifth and ending the campaign 25 points behind newly crowned champions Arsenal.

Liverpool’s struggles ultimately led to Slot’s departure, with Iraola arriving after an impressive spell at Bournemouth, where he guided the Cherries to European qualification for the first time in their history, finishing just three points behind the Merseyside club in sixth place.

Having invested heavily in the transfer market last year, Liverpool are once again expected to be active this summer as Iraola looks to make an immediate impact at Anfield.

Liverpool Monitoring Fulham Star

According to Anfield Watch, Liverpool are closely monitoring Fulham winger Kevin.

The Reds have already undergone changes in the wide areas this summer following the departure of Mohamed Salah from the club.

Federico Chiesa could also be on his way out, with Liverpool having recently signed Spanish talent Victor Munoz from Osasuna for £34.5 million, while also showing interest in RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande.

Recognising the need to strengthen their options out wide, Kevin has emerged as a potential target as Liverpool continue to plan for the future.

The Brazilian joined Fulham last September in a club-record £34.6 million deal, signing a long-term contract until the summer of 2030, with the Cottagers holding the option to extend it by a further year.

The left winger finished his debut season in west London with three goals and four assists in 31 appearances, notably scoring in Fulham’s 3-2 defeat to Manchester United in February.

More will be expected of the 23-year-old this season after his first year in England, and Anfield Watch reports that Liverpool have been monitoring him ever since his move to Fulham to assess his adaptation to Premier League football.

A prediction made by Shakhtar Donetsk sporting director Dario Srna regarding Kevin could yet come true if Liverpool decide to pursue the Fulham star.

Speaking to BBC Sport last September following Kevin’s move from Shakhtar Donetsk to Fulham, Srna claimed that the Brazilian would join one of Europe’s biggest clubs within the next two years.

“Fulham have signed an incredible winger. He has exceptional quality, outstanding pace, is excellent in one-on-one situations, and also contributes defensively,” Srna said.

“Under Marco Silva, who I consider one of the best coaches in the Premier League, he will continue to develop. I am convinced that Kevin will move to one of the biggest clubs in the world within the next two years.”
