🚨 BREAKING NEWS: Newcastle Set to Welcome an International Star …..

Newcastle United are pushing to secure their second signing of the summer.

After completing an £18million deal for French goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen from Stade de Reims, the Magpies have turned their attention to strengthening their attacking options on the left flank.

NewcastleWorld understands that a deal for Osasuna winger Victor Munoz is edging closer following fresh talks over the last 24 hours.

The 22-year-old progressed through Real Madrid’s academy before joining Osasuna last summer, where he enjoyed a breakthrough campaign.

Munoz scored seven goals and provided five assists, earning a place in Spain’s World Cup squad after making his senior international debut in March.

He marked that occasion in style, scoring Spain’s third goal in a 3-0 victory over Serbia.

Although capable of operating across the front three, Newcastle view Munoz primarily as a left-wing option as they continue to strengthen their attacking depth.

While sporting director Ross Wilson is leading negotiations, NewcastleWorld understands that head coach Eddie Howe has also played a significant role in identifying Munoz as a key target.

Meanwhile, El Chiringuito TV journalist Jose Alvarez Haya claims that, should a deal be agreed, Munoz could undergo his medical in the United States rather than travelling to Newcastle.

Spain are currently based in Tennessee for the World Cup and begin their campaign against Cape Verde in Atlanta on Monday.
