Everton youngster Shea Pita has sent a message to supporters following the announcement that he has signed his first professional contract with the Merseyside club.

Pita has successfully stepped up to Under-21s football with Everton this season, catching the eye with his attacking displays. The Wales youth international, who recently celebrated his 17th birthday, has been tipped as a future first-team star for the Toffees.
Pita has now agreed terms at Finch Farm on a deal that runs until 2028, by which point he will hope to have done enough to earn another new contract.
The youngster has since taken to social media to react to the news of signing his first professional deal.
Shea Pita ‘proud’ after Everton contract news
Pita may not be a household name among Everton fans right now, but that could soon change.
The teenage winger scored on his Under-21s debut from the penalty spot in a 3-2 win over PSV at Goodison Park in December.
Pita is certainly catching the eye at academy level, and it may not be long before David Moyes takes a closer look at him.
He joined the Blues in 2017 after progressing through Llandudno FC’s academy and is developing at an impressive rate.
Confirmation of the new deal was shared by Everton F.C. on their official website on Tuesday.
Pita later posted on his personal Instagram account: “Proud moment to sign my first professional contract for this special club.”

A number of Pita’s teammates liked the post, including goalkeeper George Pickford and forward Francis Okoronkwo.
What next for Everton talent Pita?
Pita showed his quality with his impact against PSV at Goodison Park late last year and has not looked out of place since stepping up a level.
Given the pace of his development, it would not be surprising to see Pita head out on loan at some stage over the next year, similar to Pickford and Okoronkwo.
The Welshman would add another string to his bow by playing regular senior football, even if it comes lower down the football pyramid.
There is no need to rush Pita’s development, but it is already clear he is capable of stepping up when given the opportunity.
