Chief football officer Jon Rudkin has also come under scrutiny. A series of poor recruitment decisions over the past five years has weakened the squad, while managerial appointments have failed to deliver results. What was expected to be a push for promotion in the 2025/26 season has instead turned into a relegation battle.
The team’s performance in 2026 highlights the problem. Leicester have recorded just two wins, seven draws, and nine defeats. That run has seen them collect only 13 points from a possible 54 in the Championship.
Only Sheffield Wednesday have earned fewer points in the same period.
In total, Leicester have dropped 41 points since the start of the year. Combined with a six-point deduction due to administrative issues, the club’s situation has become even more difficult.
The numbers reflect a serious decline, and pressure continues to grow on the current leadership to turn things around before further damage is done.
