The club has successfully signed promising young players the likes of Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall, Wilson Odobert, Ashley Philip, Min-hyeuk Yang and fans favourite Mikey Moore.
While also letting go of those who were not needed, helping to rebuild their squad and strengthen the team for possible title challenges.
Spurs are now focused on bringing in young talent and developing them at their training ground, Hotspur Way. One player drawing attention is the sensational Brazilian youngster Vitor Reis from Palmeiras, a defender who has impressed since joining the Brazilian team.
Tottenham faces competition for Reis from local rivals Arsenal and Liverpool, who are also interested in signing him.
Additionally, Spurs are keeping an eye on Uzbek international Abdukodir Khusanov, a rising star from RC Lens who has caught the eye of many European clubs.
Reis’s agent, Claudio Fiorito, has stated that the player wants to move to Europe and is particularly interested in a club that offers Champions League football.
Reports suggest that Liverpool has joined the race for Reis, increasing the competition for the North London club, especially given that Spurs are currently competing in the Europa League.
Reis’s contract with Palmeiras includes a hefty release clause of €100 million (£83.3 million). Given that he has not yet played a full season in senior football, that price seems too high for top teams to pay for a player lacking first-team experience.
However, a more reasonable offer of £25 million to £30 million might be enough to persuade Palmeiras to negotiate for the youngster.
Reis’s move to Spurs would be beneficial for him, as he could be mentored by top-class stars like Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, both of whom have been mainstays at the Lilywhites.
