Tottenham Star Set For Shocking January Reunion With Former Spurs Manager

Tottenham Hotspur may face potential squad hauling in the January transfer window, with left back Sergio Reguilon once again Jose Mourinho keen on reunion with the 27-year-old star for Turkish side Fenerbache, offering Reguilon a chance to revive his career.

Reguilon arrived at spurs from Real Madrid in September 2020 and initially made a strong impression with his dynamic attacking playing and strong defensive work rate.

However injuries and lack of game time have halt his appearance under current Boss Ange Postecoglou, Reguilon has found it difficult to break into the regular first eleven, featuring only as an unused substitute during Tottenham’s League Cup win against Coventry City.

Despite remaining with the team though the summer transfer window, Reguilon’s participation has been limited, prompted speculation about his future.

Mourinho, who was instrumental in bringing Reguilon to Tottenham during his own tenure, appears eager to make a reunion to Fenerbache this January. Such transfer could offer Reguilon important fresh start after frustrating time at North London.

This was not the first time the possibility of Mourinho and Reguilon reuniting, during the summer, reports emerged suggesting Mourinho was interested in a late transfer for Reguilon, but a deal never materialised.

With his current situation at Spurs, it seems increasingly likely that Reguilon’s time at the club is coming to an end.

Reguilon at the last year of his contract at the North London Club, Spurs are likely to seek a feasible fee the defender in January, aiming to avoid losing him for free next summer.

All eyes remains on the star as the transfer window approaches, Reguilon will actually make the move to Turkey and regain his form under Mourinho’s tutelage.
